Centennial Hills Community Center

Centennial Hills Community Center Now Open

Residents recently celebrated the opening of the Centennial Hills Community Center. The center is located at 6601 N. Buffalo Drive near Deer Springs Way.

The 98,000-square foot community center, located on 18 acres in Centennial Hills Park, features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a dance room, fitness center, an active adult wing and space for a variety of multi-generational activities. In addition, a public arts component is planned for the complex, consisting of illuminated, surreal photo murals in the central promenade.

Through a community partnership, the new center will be operated by the YMCA of Southern Nevada, with the active adult wing being operated by the city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services.

Centennial Hills Park is in its final development phase and will ultimately encompass more than 100 acres of recreational amenities and public services. The final phase of the park is currently under construction and will highlight the historic inverted riverbeds and feature picnic areas and walking trails with interactive learning experiences. Construction is expected to be completed by spring of 2008.
